About the Piece: Inspired by the local legend of St Albans, this piece is a tribute to the beautiful red fox that often traverses my backyard and many of the others here in our little town. She has a limp in one foot and always stands so stoically to say "hello" before moving along. You can often here her kits in the woods by the stream in our yard. It only made sense to honor her alongside the Maple Festival traditions as her presence is just as much a marker of Spring as the sap flowing from the trees. I grew up with a love of antique porcelain as it was the one thing my mom collected over the years. It was so much fun to include that shared love in a piece that recognizes stories from generations that are both human and animal especially as we exist alongside one another.
Materials in the Original: Alcohol marker, wet bronze powder, and colored pencil on Bristol Paper 23" x 18".
All prints come with an additional 1" white border and are printed on a quality museum-ready paper with a matte finish. Prints are produced locally here in St Albans, VT.
In order to maintain the value of this series, each print will be produced in a limited run. Each print will be individually numbered and signed by me.
